Audit log
Tenant admins only. This is not a general activity log of everything that happens in your tenant - it's specifically a record of when LMS's own platform staff (superadmin or support) touched your tenant's data. The same pattern Google Workspace and Zendesk use for "an administrator accessed your account on [date]": you're told that platform staff acted on your data, not tracked on every click your own team makes.
Routine actions by your own tenant's admin - creating a user, changing a teammate's role, deactivating an account, saving branding - are not recorded here. If you're looking for a log of your own team's activity, that doesn't exist yet.
What is recorded
Every time a superadmin or support agent does one of these to your tenant's data:
| Action | What it means |
|---|---|
| A user is created in your tenant | By a superadmin or support agent, not your own admin |
| A user's role is changed | Old role and new role are recorded |
| A user is deactivated or reactivated | |
| A support agent views your tenant's user list | Specifically when they deliberately select your tenant, not incidental to their own workflow |
| A support agent is created for your tenant | (Rare - this is about your users' data, not the support agent account itself) |
Each entry shows who acted (by role - "a superadmin" or "a support
agent," not a specific name) and what they did, with a timestamp.
It deliberately does not show the specific person's identity or any
internal support ticket reference, even though that's tracked
internally - see docs/superadmin-access-patterns.md
for why.
Support actions always carry a ticket reference internally - a support agent can't act on your tenant's users without one, even though it isn't shown to you.
Retention
Entries are visible in this UI for 1 year. After that they're moved to long-term archival storage and no longer appear here - if you need something older, that's a manual retrieval today, not self-service.
